I’m the creator of Pets2Sketch!

I have always loved creating art as long as I can remember! I used to make cards and drawings for my parents and friends all the time when I was a child and Art was always my favourite lesson at school! However adult life got in the way and once I was grown up, working, renovating a house and raising two children, it got pushed to the back of a very busy schedule!

I got back into Art recently as we all moved house and after dabbling with coloured pencils I bought my first set of pastels and I haven’t looked back since!

​

With the help of my (almost!) teenage daughter I set myself up on Instagram and the encouraging comments on there gave me the confidence I needed to begin commission work and to start charging for my art.

​

I focus on animals, especially pets as I am a huge animal fan – I’ve grown up with animals my whole life, started horse riding from a young age (and continuously begged my dad for a horse which he didn’t like the sound of at all!) I think animals can teach us some great lessons in life about responsibility, kindness and compassion. I still ride horses now (or at least try to!) and currently have 2 dogs and a cat.

I hope you are able to find something here that inspires you. I've tried to create pictures and gifts that I would buy for myself and that I think would make great presents for the dog and cat (and horse!) lovers out there.
